Movie Overview

The story follows Claire, played by Shauna O'Brien, as she settles into a new home with her boyfriend Michael. The house once belonged to Valerie Parks, a 1940s starlet whose promising career ended abruptly and mysteriously before it could take off. Griffin Drew plays Valerie, whose presence in the film extends beyond the past once Michael turns up a print of her unfinished picture, The Last Widow, long believed to be lost.

As Claire spends more time in the house, she becomes convinced that Valerie never really left it. What begins as unease turns into something more intimate, with Claire suspecting she is being drawn into an erotic hold from beyond the grave. The tension escalates when a studio announces plans to remake The Last Widow, giving Valerie a fresh motive to make sure she is the one who finally finishes what she started, even if it means taking over Claire's body to do it.

The premise leans on a classic ghost-story framework, casting the past as a rival for the present rather than a distant memory. It gives the film a throughline that connects its romance elements to a larger idea about unfinished work, unresolved desire, and the pull of old Hollywood on the people living in its leftover spaces.

Production Notes

Sex Files: Erotic Possessions was produced as a co-production spanning France, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the United States, an unusual arrangement for a genre feature of this kind and one that points to a wider international distribution strategy for the label behind it. Several performers appear under alternate screen names in the credits, a common practice in softcore productions of this era intended to separate mainstream and adult-oriented work. Beyond these details, specific filming locations and additional behind-the-scenes information are not documented.
